New York Rangers
To win this game, the Rangers are going to have to produce offensively, at even strength and on the power play. Their offensive effort during Game 6 was atrocious, as they scored one last minute goal and their power play could not even set up. The Rangers cannot rely on Henrik Lundqvist to bail them out of every game. Lundqvist will play well. He's always consistent between the pipes for the Rangers. Offensive guns like Marian Gaborik and Brad Richards, as well as role players like Ryan Callahan and Brian Boyle, will need to lead this team as in the locker room as well as on the ice. If these guys get goals and scoring chances, that will motivate their teammates to do so, as well.
Washington Capitals
The Washington Capitals can play their best game as a team in Game 7, but ultimately, the result of the game will be impacted largely by Capitals rookie goaltender Braden Holtby. He has been amazing for the Capitals all post-season long, and he has the ability and swagger to go out there and steal a hockey game for his team. Alex Ovechkin played a great game in Game 6, and he will have to play with the same effort and intensity in Game 7. Ovechkin needs to be the Capitals' best player out there. If he's not, the Capitals have no shot at winning this game.

My Prediction
This game will, without a doubt, be a one-goal game. These teams both play on the edge, and they thrive on blocking shots, but I'm going to have to go with Washington on this one. They are riding on Holtby's momentum, Ovechkin's hot play, as well as contributions from their role players. The Rangers have run out of gas. It's visible on and off the ice; even with Rangers coach John Tortorella. He looks burnt out, as does his team. The Rangers definitely want it, but I'm not sure they have enough left in the tank. Look for the Washinton Capitals to take on the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern Conference Finals.
